If you got a 30gb zune with the latest firmware im 99.9% sure that it looks exactly like mine pictured above as of 12/31/08. It seems like they all died around midnight last night probabaly some issue with the software. Hopefully the folks in Redmondworking on the issue cause im starting to feel lonely. Im glad I keep some music on the Curve though. I will let you alll know when the issue gets resolved check back soon.

Update:

For those that dont care about voiding their warranty then follow the steps here to disconnect your battery and hard drive. You should be up and running after that. I think im going to wait until 1/1/09 to see if it works.

CNN reporting on the widespread issue.

Zune Fix The fix is to wait until 1/1/09 around 7am eastern or 4am pacific and then reconnect the zune and let it sync with the software and everything should be ok.
